Directors Thought for the Month 1.02.2012

PREDICTIONS ALREADY COMING TRUE

I’m liking 2012 so far; my family are all well, Liverpool have knocked Man Utd out of the FA Cup and business is good. The increase in business is very much in line with the findings from our “Looking forward to 2012″ survey we did towards the end of last year. The survey was designed to see how businesses in Northamptonshire were feeling about 2012 and what their expectations were, and the general consensus was positive, identifying that many businesses expected to grow, make more profit and recruit more staff. This Impact survey has also been reported by both The Chronicle and Echo and The Business Times this month, to share some positive and optimistic news for our business community (for a change!). You can read the survey findings here http://bit.ly/Lookingforward2012.

On a more national level, this sentiment still remains true according to last years national recruitment trends, reported by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, aka REC:
- Temporary/contract staff usage has increased by 19% on the previous year.
- Permanent recruitment volumes show a massive increase of 38%.
- These trends are predicted to continue, hitting record high figures by 2014/2015.

So I hope this indication of an upturn gives you confidence to invest in your people and your business, and Impact Recruitment Services can help you make sure you get the right staff to achieve your business objectives.

Best wishes
Paul Hooper
Operations Director
